September 27th 6-8 pm
Portrait Society Gallery

Portrait Society Gallery, 207 E. Buffalo Street, celebrates its 10th anniversary with an exhibition called “Susceptible to Images,” opening from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 27. The exhibition runs through November 9.
The title of the exhibition comes from the now-defunct on-line art review started alongside Portrait Society a decade ago in its first 300 square foot space on the fifth floor of the Marshall Building. The gallery, having now grown to 1500 square feet, represents 17 artists working in diverse disciplines, with a curatorial emphasis that thoughtfully crosses divisions of race, age, education, economics, gender.
Artists presented in the anniversary show include: Herman Aquirre, Lois Bielefeld, Mark Brautigam, Steve Burnham, Tracy Cirves, Bernard Gilardi, Skully Gustafson, Thomas Haneman, Sharon Kerry Harlan, Romano Johnson, Rosemary Ollison, Mark Ottens, Rafael Francisco Salas, J. Shimon and Lauren Semivan, Carri Skoczek, M. Winston and Della Wells.
Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
